2015 GDF7 Recap

Rosa
It was a great finish at our second CDI, at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival: Rosa was super in her freestyle yesterday! We scored 70.9% and finished in fourth place! I am so excited because we are getting better every test.[VIDEO] This is also a huge and very competitive class.
Gloria with Rosa and Silva
Gloria Callen, who is one of Boyd's and my biggest supporters, came to watch us go and it was wonderful to have her here.

Stately and Saphira were also great but had some unfortunate mistakes. They did not show in the freestyle. I showed Sapphire in the national Intermediare 1 on Saturday and she was a good girl. We are slowly developing a partnership and that is exciting! She scored 70%. [VIDEO] It was so great to have her owners John McGuire and Marilyn Johnson here this weekend.

Marilyn Johnson
I also showed Bonnie Stedt's Zoran in his first Intermediare 1 yesterday [VIDEO] and he was great! He is for sale and would be a great FEI horse for somebody that wants a very fancy horse!

Thanks to Jerusha, Jessie and Devon, who joined us this weekend, the horses looked gorgeous!

Upper Level Sales Horse - William Street!

We're very thankful to Cindy Lawler for these new photos of William Street taken during the Intermediate division at Pine Top, where he finished a strong 6th!

This very talented horse is on the market.  He's a 17H, 10 year old Oldenburg/TB cross who is a perfect mix of athleticism and ride-ability. Purchased by his current owner as a 3 year old, hopes were to bring him along as a successful local show hunter and equitation mount. Excitedly however, Will far exceeded expectations, particularly in his aptitude for dressage. Pairing this with his jumping talent, his owner decided to reroute his career towards eventing, competing him successfully in the 4 year old YEH Championships with a hugely talented group.

Will continued to settle into his new job, and returned to YEH in his 5 year old year to finish solidly in the upper third at the Championships. After reaching Preliminary level, his owner felt that he might have an upper level horse on his hands and asked Boyd to evaluate his potential. Boyd agreed with this assessment, took over the ride, and polished Will to and through his first Intermediate competition. As he continues to show promise at the upper levels, easily answering Advanced level questions, it's now time for Will to find the perfect partner to take him all the way!

Will also is excellent hacking out on the trails and loves going to the beach even braving the ocean!

2015 PINE TOP ADVANCED HORSE TRIALS

We had a good weekend at Pine Top; I decided to take the majority of the upper level horses to GA and I must say the courses are bigger, bolder and more technical with Derek diGrazia designing them. All the horses finished the course with a wonderful taste in their mouth.

We’re still early in the season and not yet going full-blast with the horses, but the seven I rode all put in a wonderful performance. The majority of this group will go to the Carolina International in four weeks’ time, where they can go after the massive prize money on offer thanks to our sponsor, Attwood Equestrian Surfaces.

A big thank you to Cindy Lawler: she’s taken some brilliant snaps at Pine Top, click on the LINK to check them out..
